Meet Chantal & Eddy:
Chantal and I have been friends since our Freshman year of college, so naturally, when I found out she was engaged I was so stoked for her! She actually initially told me that she didn’t want me to photograph her wedding because she wanted me to enjoy myself and have fun on her special day. Well, I can honestly say that I am so thankful that she changed her mind and let me capture these special moments for her. Overall, I was able to spend more time with her than just the average guest, and I was able to do what I love while I was there – take their photos!
We began to set our plans into action back in September 2019. Chantal, Eddy, and I were all living in Corpus Christi, TX at the time, and so setting dates for engagement and bridal sessions was a breeze. We ended up splitting up their engagement sessions into two dates – one in October for more formal outfits taken in her hometown of Rockport, TX, and one more session in November for more casual, fall outfits taken in downtown Corpus Christi.
The day after their engagement session in November, I moved back to Austin, TX. After that, our planning became a bit more challenging. As everyone very well knows, in January the pandemic hit, and everything started to shut down in March. We had originally planned on having Chantal’s bridal session as soon as her dress came back from alterations. Because of everything being shut down, she ended up getting her dress back just a couple of weeks before her wedding day. Regardless of our time limitations, we were determined to make her bridal session happen. We drove 2 hours and took some BEAUTIFUL bridal photos at Presidio La Bahia in Goliad, TX.
After Chantal’s bridal session, everything happened like a wonderful whirlwind. Before we knew it, two weeks flew by and it was her and Eddy’s wedding day!
Their ceremony was held in the beautiful Newman Catholic Center in Corpus Christi, TX.
Chantal took a few minutes for some final touches in the back with her sister, and then her dad walked her down the aisle.
Her dad gave her away to Eddy, and then the soon-to-be newlyweds snuck in a quick kiss before everything totally began. They then had a beautiful, traditional Catholic ceremony.
After they were declared man and wife, it was time to head to the reception venue for couple’s portraits and detail shots!
Dinner was served, and then everybody was ready for cake and first dances.
After the first dances, everyone joined in on the dance floor and the party really started.
Finally, Chantal & Eddy’s beautiful wedding day came to a close with a wonderful sparkler exit!
